Hospital Overview Clinch Valley Medical Center is a 175-bed acute care hospital offering a comprehensive network of services. The facility is recognized statewide and nationally for quality, patient safety, and positive health outcomes. Position Information Role: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery RN / Nursery RN Openings: 2 L&D, 2 Nursery Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Weekend Requirement: Nights (7p–7a) Call: None Experience Required: Minimum 1–1.5 years Required Certifications BLS ACLS NRP Intermediate fetal monitoring (or higher) STABLE (required for Nursery) Float Requirements Must float to Nursery and Postpartum Float if units close due to census Unit Details Beds: 3 L&D, 9 OB, 14 Nursery, 3 Intermediate Nursery Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN guidelines Equipment: Standard OB unit equipment EHR: Meditech Patient Population: Level III OB Average Volume: Low volume (less than 15 deliveries per month) Hiring Profile Must Have: At least 1 year OB experience Preferred: General L&D and Nursery experience Common Cases: OB deliveries, Nursery care
