These are 28 bed cardiac telemetry units caring for all cardiac needs including post op care. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry. This is a Level I trauma center serving a population of all ages. The nurses work together in teams and are supported by PCTs and a unit secretary.
