Travel Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT)

A hospital in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a 13-week travel contract to support the Respiratory Care Department due to an FMLA/LOA opening. This role provides respiratory therapy services across all appropriate age groups in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Pay: $2,506

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by medical staff
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Provide age-appropriate respiratory care to assigned patients
• Respond as part of the rapid response/code team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Maintain, clean, and ensure proper functioning of respiratory therapy equipment
• Serve as a clinical resource to physicians and interdisciplinary staff
• Maintain required respiratory therapy documentation and records
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• NBRC credential (RRT required within 12 months if not already held)
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS required within 3 months of hire
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress, critical care environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
