Description
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 based on acuity
Manage post-operative and medical patients across multiple specialties
Care for patients with central lines, NG tubes, ostomies, drains, and Foley catheters
Monitor and manage CBIs and heparin drips (no titration required)
Interpret telemetry strips with support from remote tele monitoring
Collaborate with charge nurses, leadership, CNAs, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain professional communication and accurate documentation
Float to MedSurg units at Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center when required
Requirements
Experience
Minimum 2 years of MedSurg RN experience
Proficiency with central lines, NG tube management, ostomies, drain management
Experience with CBIs and Foley management preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Active RN license
BLS required
Shift & Scheduling Details
12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Every other weekend (may increase based on unit needs)
Holidays as needed
No call or standby requirement
