Contract Details

• Start Date: 02/023/2026 (ASAP start preferred)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
• Shift Options:
  • Evening: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Night: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Shift Flexibility:
  • Candidate must be flexible to rotate evenings/nights if needed
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekends: Not required
• Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
• On-Call: Not required

• Strong Blood Bank experience is REQUIRED
• Candidates without Blood Bank experience will NOT be considered

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of MLS experience
• Blood Bank: Required (independent work expected)
• Certifications:
  • ASCP – Required
  • ASCP-MLS – Preferred
  • BLS – Preferred
• Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted with strong experience)
• EMR: Epic (preferred)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)

• Blood Bank operations including:
  • ABO/Rh typing, antibody screen & identification
  • AHG & electronic crossmatch
  • Transfusion reaction workups
  • Antigen & antibody typing
  • Rhogam screening
  • Thawing/cooling blood products
• Hematology & Coagulation testing
• Chemistry, Immunology, and Serology testing
• Microbiology testing & culture reading
• Specimen processing, accessioning, and reporting
• Venipuncture and specimen handling
• Independent operation of laboratory analyzers
• Quality control, QA documentation, and safety compliance
