- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (1 year)
- Behavioral Health Nurse (1 year)
Description
• Beds: 52
• Minimum Experience: 1 year - Please let CRT know if offer details if candidate has less than 1.5 years of experience - they will need to send profile to manager for approval
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, only if greater than 2 years of experience
• Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility
• Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
• Patient Types:
• Psychiatric - Child/adolescents ages 5-17 & Adults
• Please make sure traveler understands they will work with peds
• No dementia, severe autistic or forensic patients, no inmates
• Diagnoses include, but are not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Adjustment Disorder
• Facility does occasionally have violent/aggressive patients
• No ECT
• Patient Ratios:
• RN: 1:8 with a tech
RN: Be able to do a take down and physical restraint on an agitated patient if necessary - forms of restraint include: Time out/seclusion rooms, restraint rooms, holding patient down to administer shot, the facility has but is not currently using a restraint chair; verbal de-escalation, group didactic skills, good communication skills; Team Nursing approach - RN will administer their own meds (injectable and PO) pass meds, evaluate care plans and note progress and documentation, admission screens, Assessments, minor wound care, EKGS (we train), glucometer, take telephone or verbal orders, acknowledge orders, vital signs, the Columbia suicide risk screen, end of shift report, log in patient belongings, screenings and discharge planning
