Registered Nurse (RN)
Department: Hospital / Acute Care (Unit based on assignment)
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care by leading and coordinating nursing services for assigned patients. Using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, the RN delivers, supervises, and documents care while ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver and supervise safe, effective nursing care
- Educate patients and families regarding care, treatment, and recovery
- Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians and the care team
- Monitor patient progress and identify variances from care goals
- Participate in developing and implementing solutions to improve outcomes
- Accurately document all patient care activities
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and collaborative care environment
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Michigan RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Required Skills
- Strong clinical knowledge and nursing judgment
- Ability to create and implement effective care plans
- Ability to provide a wide range of nursing services
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff
