Description
Position Title: Mammography Technician
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Rate (Local): $55/hr.
Total Travel Package: $3,180 / week
*Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for the travel package*
· Taxable wages: $1480.00
· Weekly lodging allowance: $1,200.00
· Weekly meals / incidentals: $500.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The Mammography Technologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breast tissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detect breast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment and survival.
Requirements:
- Current California CRT license
- ARRT (M) certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience (or strong clinical training background)
- Knowledge of MQSA and ACR standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Preferred
- Experience in an outpatient imaging or breast center environment
- Experience with GE HealthCare Sonographer Pristina or willing to learn
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills (helpful for patient population)
Schedule:
- Chula Vista Imaging Center: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Logan Heights Imaging Center: Tuesday, Thursday
- Full‑time schedule; occasional flexibility may be required for coverage or operational needs.
