·       Patient Ratios :  1:6, occasional 1:7 with surge

·       Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :  Unit Secretary (day shift only) and LNA’s for both shifts

·       Type of equipment :  Telemetry

·       Documentation system:  Meditech Expanse

·       Scheduling requirements:  3- 12 hours shifts, e/o weekend and rotating holidays

·       Floating policy:  Float to same level of care

·       Patient Experience requirements:  Bedside Shift Report, Hourly Safety Rounding, Personal Connections

Must have:

Advanced skills needed:  IV certified

Procedures performed on unit:  CBI, Wound Care, drain mgt (chest tubes, Jackson pratt etc), foley insertion), central line dressing changes, telemetry monitoring, ekgs PRN

Certifications Required:  IV certification
