Schedule Options:
- Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, OR
- 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with Wednesday off
Position Summary
The Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist (Lab MT) to support outpatient laboratory services. The Lab MT will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease across pediatric and adult populations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent laboratory experience
- Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist through:
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), or
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- AHA BLS Certification (Required)
- Blood Bank experience (Required)
- Pediatric experience (Required)
- Experience with Cerner Millennium EMR
- Experience with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics chemistry analyzers
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience (preferred, not required)
- Prior outpatient or clinic laboratory experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures
- Conduct Blood Bank testing and related documentation
- Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
- Ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with laboratory standards
- Document test results accurately in Cerner Millennium
- Assist with specimen handling, processing, and troubleshooting
- Support laboratory services for pediatric and adult patients
- Maintain laboratory safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care
