Description
Responsibilities
- Provide daily health assessments, first aid, and emergency care
- Manage chronic health conditions (diabetes, asthma, seizures, allergies, etc.)
- Administer medications in compliance with district protocols
- Maintain accurate student health records
- Communicate with parents, school administrators, and faculty
- Support Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and assist with IEP/504 meetings
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives on campus
Requirements
- Active Florida RN License
- Current CPR/BLS Certification (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; pediatric or school nursing experience a plus
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently in a school-based environment
