Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

 

License:

Current Washington State RN Licensure.

 

Certification:

HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire – AHA or equivalent.

 

Experience:

Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred.

Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments.

 

Mother Baby Unit

1. AAP NRP Advanced (American Academy of Pediatrics, Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is required for all RN’s working in MBU prior to the end of orientation and renewed every 2 years.

2. ACLS (AHA Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.

3. STABLE course completion within 6 months of completing orientation, and renewed every 2 years (optional)

4. AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course for all L&D RNs is required and must be obtained within 3 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years. Electronic Fetal Monitoring from NCC is also acceptable.

5. RN-C in specialty preferred.
