The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.  Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff.   Below you will find a data collection tool to help you identify essential data needed to complete your profile.

·         Number of Beds - 24

·         Number of Staff – 12

·         Type of staff:

o    Day Shift –1 charge, 11-12 RN

o    Night Shift - 1 charge, 11-12 RN

·         Patient Ratios – 2:1

·         Type of equipment – TABLO, Belmont/Level 1 rapid infuser, Camino/Integra ICP monitoring, Flo-trac, Rotoprone, ventilators, all invasive hemodynamic monitoring and gtt management.

·         EMR – Meditech

·         Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) – N

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for:  (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

 

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·         Direct ICU experience >3 years

·          

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·          Bilingual (English/Spanish)

·          Trauma experience (TNCC/TCAR)

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·           Code intubation, Trauma level 1 intervention, Code resuscitation,

·          

Best personality Fit:

·          Engaged RN who will incorporate facility policy and guidelines

·          

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

·         Scrub Color -  Galaxy blue/Royal blue

·
