Physical Therapist (PT) – Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy services to patients in accordance with professional licensure and state regulations.
Direct and supervise the work of physical therapist assistants (PTAs), rehabilitation aides, and students as applicable, following all state and federal guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all organizational and facility safety policies related to personal protection and patient safety.
Maintain and expand clinical and professional knowledge through continuing education and professional associations.
Support and participate in department operations, performance improvement initiatives, and program development.
Effectively communicate patient status, progress, and care needs to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care team members.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current, active Physical Therapy license in the state of Oregon. Ability to practice unencumbered and in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards. Working knowledge of Medicare and other third-party payer requirements. Demonstrated understanding of resident and patient rights. Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must speak, read, and write English fluently. Active CPR/BLS certification required.
