Floating: Required (3 hospitals within 20 miles)
On-Call: Yes (based on unit needs)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Technician to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a busy CVOR. The ideal candidate will have strong experience assisting in open-heart and cardiovascular cases, with the ability to scrub and support surgeons in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires flexibility to float between sister facilities and participate in on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures
• Prepare operating room and sterile instruments
• Maintain sterile field throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs during CVOR cases
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies
• Assist with patient positioning and safety
• Document procedures using EPIC
• Float to sister facilities as required
• Participate in on-call rotation

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 18 months CVOR experience required
• 2 years preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Ability to work in high-acuity surgical environment
• Flexible and team-oriented mindset

Certifications & Requirements

Required:

• BLS (AHA or Red Cross)

Preferred:

• NBSTSA (CST)
• NCCT (TS-C)

Additional Requirements

• First-time travelers accepted
• Must complete time-sensitive onboarding modules promptly
• Must be nicotine-free (10-panel + cotinine drug screen required)
• All RTO must be submitted upfront
• Pending licenses not accepted
