Job Title: PCU Cardiac Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Shift: Night – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Cardiac
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Trauma Center)
Total Beds: 300
Charting System: EPIC
Scrubs: Any color

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PCU Cardiac RN for a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong recent PCU experience and be comfortable managing complex cardiac and medical patients in a fast-paced trauma environment.
Patient Population
- Chest Pain
- Syncope
- Heart Failure
- Sepsis
- Overdose
- GI Bleed
- COPD
- Pneumonia
- Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, Orthopedic overflow
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to PCU/Cardiac patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Perform cardiac assessments and documentation in EPIC
- Assist with special procedures including:
- Post-cath patients with stents
- ICD / pacemaker insertions
- Cardioversions
- Float to similar units as required
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience (recent required)
- Strong cardiac/telemetry background
- Must pass EKG test on arrival
- EPIC experience mandatory
Certifications Required
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
Preferred Skills
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- Sheath removal
- Ventilated patient care
Scheduling & Other Requirements
- Weekend: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Floating: Yes, to similar units
- Call: No
- Block scheduling: Not guaranteed
- Pending license: Accepted
- Holiday: If contracted during all 3 winter holidays, must work at least 2
