- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
Units: Labor and Delivery
Certs Required: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, certification in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartum.
Experience Required: 3 years. Must care for couplets. IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulate C-sections, C-section recovery care. Would love a candidate with Level 2 nursery baby exp.
Floating: If yes, where?
Will be required to work Postpartum/Couplet care throughout the contract

Patient Ratios:
Antepartum: 1:3
Inactive Labor: 1:2
Active Labor: 1:1
Postpartum/Couplet care: 1:3 couplets
Patient Types:
We see all types of pregnant patients in our labor and delivery. We have the only Level 3 NICU in a 350-mile radius, so we accept patients with almost any kind of risk factor or complication. We care for high-risk all the way down to low-intervention laboring patients. Antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infants
