Position Requirements & Expectations

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant unit experience
  • First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend & Call Requirements:
  • Weekend coverage included as part of call requirements
  • Call: 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks
  • Call requirements are subject to change based on departmental needs
• Floating Requirements:
  • Floating required within the facility and scope of practice
  • Floating to Main OR as needed
• Clinical Review Process:
  • Candidate will undergo a clinical screen to determine clinical fit
  • If clinically approved and within Piedmont guidelines, profile will be forwarded to the hiring manager for final decision
  • Clinical screens are conducted case-by-case
• Requested Time Off (RTO):
  • Maximum of 7 days allowed

• Holiday Requirements:

  • If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is required to work it
  • If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is required to work both
  • If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is required to work two

  Recognized Major Holidays:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving / Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day
• Compliance Requirements:
  • Full compliance is required to start on time
  • Incomplete compliance will result in a 2-week start date pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedules
• Local Candidates:
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Orientation:
  • Number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by contract length
    • Example:
      • 8-week assignment → 8 hours
      • 10-week assignment → 10 hours
