Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health unit. This role is ideal for a compassionate, patient-focused nurse who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

• Current RN License
• CPR certification
• Behavioral Health nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts
• Document patient care accurately and timely according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and implement individualized patient plans of care based on physician orders, hospital policy, and patient/family education needs
• Participate in unit- or department-based performance improvement activities, including shared governance initiatives
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments to support patients’ longitudinal plans of care
• Apply critical thinking to promote patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed
