- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (1 year)
- Behavioral Health Nurse (1 year)
Description
• Beds: 94 - Peds 50 - beds; Adults - 44
• Minimum years of experience required: 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing required
• Pediatric BH exp preferred - send to manager for approval if candidate does not have Peds experience
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
• Patient Types:
• Free standing Acute Inpatient facility - contracted ER 5 min away
• All patients come from an ED and are medically cleared
• not typical to have lines, drains, tubes, etc.
• Involuntary and Voluntary admissions
• Ages:
• Peds: ages 5-18 years old
• Adults: 18+ - Geriatric
• Peds: Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to: Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Gender Dysphoria
• Adults: most commonly Schizophrenia, MDD, Bipolar Disorder; also will see Eating Disorders, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety
• No forensic patients or inmates - this facility is locked but not to the extent of holding patients under arrest
• Seclusion rooms are used when necessary
• Occasionally will see Substance Use Disorder or Detoxing patients on CIWA, but they must be medically cleared
• Will provide traditional medical and psychiatric care in addition to specialized therapies such as: pet therapy, group sessions, community gardens
• Patient Ratios:
• RN: Day - 1:5-6; Night - 1:13 with resource support (including Nursing support)
