Job Description

American Consultants is seeking an experienced RN MedSurg/Telemetry for a 13-week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident nurse looking to make a meaningful impact while working in a unique and culturally rich environment.

Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Overtime available

Position Summary
The RN is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes directing and coordinating nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and serving as a clinical resource when needed. Patient populations range from birth through geriatric, including post-surgical and behavioral health patients. Initial assessments and reassessments are completed every 24 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process
• Conduct initial assessments and reassessments every 24 hours
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on nursing practice standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care
• Serve as a resource person in complex or high-acuity situations
• Apply age-specific and culturally sensitive considerations in patient care

• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policy

   

Position Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN-approved nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years MedSurg experience preferred
• Active RN license in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
