Description
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to support our client’s medical facility in Charlotte, NC. This is a full time permanent with the possibility of a contract hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $35- $40/hr. on W2.
Duration: Full time
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 2:30 AM), Every weekend, SAT.SUN + one weekday 3x12s • Rotation: Holidays as scheduled.
*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs laboratory testing following approved procedures and quality standards
- Follows quality assurance guidelines for equipment, work areas, and testing processes
- Documents and reports any testing issues or non-conforming events
- Prepares reagents and maintains adequate supplies for daily testing
- Manages inventory to reduce waste and control costs
- Uses clinical judgment to prioritize workload and resolve testing issues
- Troubleshoots problems and contacts technical support or service teams when needed
- Assists with reviewing and updating procedures to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements
- Complies with all regulatory standards (CAP, TJC, OSHA, and others)
- Communicates clearly with team members and leadership across shifts
- Participates in staff meetings, projects, and process improvement initiatives
- Completes competency assessments as required
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required
- MLT registry eligible or equivalent required
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required within one year of hire
