Occupational Health Nurse (RN) – Contract to Hire
 

Location: Fairfield, OH
Job Type: 13-week contract to hire
Schedule: Full-time; weekend shifts required. Available shifts:

• 1st Shift: 5:30 am – 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: 1:30 pm – 11:00 pm
• 3rd Shift: 9:30 pm – 7:30 am

Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide on-site occupational health services for a manufacturing facility. This role involves supporting the health and well-being of employees, including injury care, wellness programs, OSHA compliance, and collaboration with management, safety teams, and medical providers. This contract-to-hire position has a high likelihood of transitioning to permanent employment.
 

What You’ll Do

• Provide on-site nursing care for occupational injuries and illnesses
• Conduct post-offer medical assessments and screenings
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with OSHA and workers’ compensation regulations
• Serve as a medical resource to management and act as liaison with healthcare providers
• Provide emergency medical care and First Aid, AED, and CPR training as needed
• Support safety audits, ergonomics evaluations, and wellness initiatives
• Communicate work restrictions and medical recommendations to employees, HR, and management

What We’re Looking For

• Required: Current, active RN license in Ohio
• Preferred: 2+ years of occupational health nursing experience and/or COHN certification
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and workers’ compensation regulations
• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and rotating shifts
• Physical ability to access all plant areas, climb stairs/ladders, walk on slippery floors, and lift up to 50 lbs
