Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (no weekends, no holidays)
Openings: 1–2 COTA positions
 

Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) to support patients in a residential and rehabilitation program serving individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves assisting therapists with patient care, therapy sessions, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote recovery, independence, and developmental progress.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized care plans
  • Support patients with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and daily living skills
  • Provide therapy interventions for residents with developmental disabilities and complex needs
  • Document and report patient progress per facility protocols
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on therapeutic activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant care environment
  • Collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes

What We’re Looking For

  • Current COTA certification and Ohio state licensure
  • Experience working with DODD populations or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Experience in rehab, skilled nursing, or residential care settings
  • Strong patient care, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
