Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Flex Pool, providing care across multiple medical and surgical units. The RN will float between various units as needed, ensuring high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Float between Medical, Surgical/Acute, and Cardiovascular units as assigned.
- Provide direct patient care following established protocols and standards.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient progress.
- Utilize hospital systems and equipment including EMR (Meditech/EPIC), Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
- Maintain professional nursing attire and adhere to hospital dress code.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and training programs.
Shift & Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (0645–1915), scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation.
- Hours may vary; no guarantee of set hours.
- Orientation provided for each unit.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2–10 years of nursing experience.
- Must possess an active State of Hawaii RN license upon assignment acceptance.
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC preferred.
- Willingness to float to other units as needed.
Unit Information & Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
- Medical Unit: 77 beds, ratio 1:6 (days/eves), 1:8 (nights)
- Surgical/Acute (Laulima) Unit: 18 beds, ratio 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds, ratio 1:4
- Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves
Additional Requirements:
- Must attend employee health appointment prior to start.
- Medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.
Certifications Required:
- BLS, ACLS
- Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
Equipment & Systems:
