Description
Department: LAB - Histology Tech - PEN
CERTS: BLS, HT (Histotechnician) or HLT (Histotechnologist) Certification through ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology); 3 years experience preferred (minimum 2 years) Associates degree preferred.
Do they need to be specialized in a specific area such as muscle or kidney? No
Do they need to be able to cover other areas in the lab or be a Generalist or perform Phlebotomy? No
"Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: 3 years experience preferred (minimum 2 years) Routine Histology (Embed, Microtomy) IHC, Specioal Stains, Digital Path, Detailed Oriented
What is your LIS Tracking System? Epic Beaker
What is your EMR system? Epic Beaker
Other specific equipment? Roche
Is there a Lab or Histology Manager/Supervisor? We have Technical Coordinator that reports to the Lab Director
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) No Self scheduling. Hours will be Wednesday-Sunday 6a-230p
