Labor & Delivery RN – Travel Contract

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Schedule: 12-hour Day Shifts | 
On-Call: Up to 24 hours every 6 weeks
Contract Type: Travel (No local travelers within 50 miles)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to support a high-acuity L&D unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment, hands-on delivery experience, and comfort working with complex obstetric patients.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
  • Must include antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean sections, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration
  • Hospital experience required
• Preferred Experience:
  • EPIC charting
  • Perinatal Centricity (QS)
  • Ability to scrub/assist in deliveries
• Certifications (Required):
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• Dysrhythmia Exam: Not required

• Fetal heart monitoring

• Cardiac monitoring
• Infant warmers
• Blood glucose monitoring

Unit Details

• Beds: 12
• Patient Population: High acuity; includes language barriers, substance abuse, and chronic conditions affecting pregnancy
• Equipment: GE monitors, pulse oximetry, blood glucose monitoring, infant warmers
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (based on staffing needs)
