Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist I
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
Client: OU Health
Job Type: Short-Term Contract (Traveler)

End Date: 05/30/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks

40 hours/week
Call required (evening and weekend rotation)

Job Summary:
Under immediate to general supervision, the Cardiovascular Technologist supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures for adult and pediatric patients. This role assists physicians in the care, treatment, and surveillance of cardiovascular conditions within a high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients and correlate clinical history with ordered cardiovascular procedures
Assist with diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures including STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart cases
Operate specialized cardiovascular imaging equipment (Philips; Siemens equipment being added)
Transfer images and enter technical data into archival systems
Perform post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and protocol compliance
Conduct operator-level quality control, cleaning, and disinfection of equipment
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Participate in continuing education and professional development

Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience (required)
Travel experience preferred
Level 1 or high-acuity Cath Lab experience required
Ability to multitask, work independently, and remain calm in emergent situations
Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills

Education Requirements (ONE of the following):

Associate’s degree or higher
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited cardiovascular program
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program
Completion of a Paramedic training program

Required Certifications & Licensure:

AHA BLS (Required)
Eligibility for ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) within 12 months of hire
OR
Successful completion of a Paramedic training program within 12 months of hire

Aaky J was very responsive, respectful and considerate, he responds quickly and he returns texts asap, I’ve even gotten random texts just asking how I was doing. I’ve never worked with Lancesoft before but Aaky has made it comfortable.

Cons

Maybe the only thing which truly isn’t a problem is the dialect, but we got through that as well.
