Evening shift behavioral health RN contract providing direct patient care and supporting unit operations in an inpatient psychiatric setting with diverse age groups and acuity levels. The role centers on comprehensive assessment, developing and updating individualized care plans with an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with providers, and maintaining a safe, structured therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include medication and physical health oversight as needed, detailed documentation and reporting, risk recognition and escalation, patient and family education, and discharge or aftercare planning support. The RN also serves as a clinical leader by delegating tasks, coordinating staff assignments, supporting training and development, following protocols and standards of care, and contributing to quality improvement while using resources responsibly. Requires at least two years of behavioral health experience, active Michigan RN licensure, current BLS, every other weekend coverage, no call, guaranteed 40 hours weekly, with potential opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on staffing needs.
