Licensed for 220 beds Full-service acute care hospital Serving Martinsville, Henry County, and surrounding regions since 1970 Employs 700+ staff with 100+ physicians and allied health professionals Offers 22+ medical specialties Services include: Comprehensive surgical services 24-hour Emergency Department Home Health & Hospice Advanced Wound Healing Center Cardiac Rehabilitation Two Cardiac Cath Labs Outpatient Surgery Center Medical & Radiation Oncology Accredited by: American College of Cardiology (Chest Pain Center & Heart Failure) American College of Surgeons – Commission on Cancer Member of Duke Heart Network and Duke Telestroke Network Travel & Compliance Notes Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays Travel Requirement: Must live 60+ miles from facility Certifications: Must be active prior to start date Drug Screening: Random drug screening required (on-site) Background: Criminal Questionnaire/Consent required Position Information Department/Cost Center: 2781 (701) – Surgery Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: OR / Surgery Openings: 1 Shift: Days – 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend / as needed Call Requirement: Yes Float Requirement: Surgical Services / as needed Years of Experience Required: 1–2 years Required Certifications BLS ACLS PALS HWC (available on-site) Unit Information OR Rooms: 10 PACUs: 4 Ambulatory Bays: 19 EP Labs: 5 Endoscopy Bays: 9 EHR: Meditech Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric Hiring Profile Must Have: Previous experience as an Operating Room RN Preferred: Strong knowledge and application of AORN standards Common Procedures: General Surgery Personality Fit: Punctual Dedicated Team-oriented Professional / No drama Education: Active Virginia RN License Dress Code Scrubs: Provided by facility Restrictions: Unapproved fingernails per AORN guidelines
