3165984 _ RN PICU (AYA)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Active NC RN License or Compact License (must be in hand by start date)
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of PICU (Pediatric ICU) experience
Neurology post-operative care experience (highly important)
Experience managing high-acuity pediatric patients
Comfortable with 1:2 ratios (sometimes 1:3 based on acuity)
Experience caring for patients aged 0–17 years
Ability to float as needed within hospital/affiliate units
Prior travel experience preferred (first-time travelers accepted with 2+ years PICU)
Epic charting experience required
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills in PICU settings
Preferred / Additional Skills
Neurology experience
IV placement and lab draw
Administering chemotherapy
Experience with respiratory, neurosurgery, heme/onc pediatric cases
