Requirements

Certifications & Licensure

• CST certification required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Pending license accepted
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required: Medical and religious exemptions only
• Flu Vaccine: Required: No exemptions

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Level II Trauma experience required (Level I preferred)
• Travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Must be very comfortable in a busy Level II Trauma environment
• Robotics and Vascular proficiency required for consideration

Required Clinical Expertise

Candidates must have hands-on experience with the following:

Service Lines / Case Types

• Orthopedics:
  • Minimum 2 years Level I–II experience, including total joints and trauma
• Neurosurgery:
  • Minimum 2 years Level I–II experience, including craniotomies
• General Surgery / Trauma
• Vascular Surgery
• GYN / Urology
• Robotics
  • Robotic Center of Excellence
  • 3 Xi robots and 2 DV5 systems currently deployed

Specialty Skills (Strongly Required)

• Eyes: Vitrectomies, scleral buckles, retina, and cataracts
• Major Vascular: AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm), carotids, femoral cases
• Neuro Trauma: Craniotomies
• Must be able to scrub independently without a sales representative for:
  • Knees
  • Hips
  • Shoulders (preferred)

Strong Eye, AAA, and Craniotomy experience is required.
AAAs, carotid, and femoral cases are the most common vascular procedures and require mastery from day one.

Schedule & Work Requirements

• Start Date: ASAP
  • Approximately 4 weeks from offer to meet compliance requirements
• Shift: 3x12 Days
• Hours: 0645 – 1915
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: Yes
  • Four (4) 8-hour call shifts per 4-week cycle
• Weekend Requirement: TBD
