Description
Hospital Pharmacist
Shift: Mixed Shifts ( 7:00 am to 7:00 pm)
Certification: Active Pharmacist license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Meditech experience
· Decentralized pharmacy experience – vancomycin dosing adjustments, renal dosing adjustments
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· Prior hospital experience (prefer at least 2yrs)
· Proof of completion of 20hr ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course (a letter attesting to completion of a course in sterile compounding from the pharmacist’s university / college will suffice, too)
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Medication Order Verification / Entry
Supervise technical support personnel in drug preparation and distribution systems
Perform final dispensing check of all medication orders and complete required documentation.
Review / Monitoring of Override Reports (and other reports)

No call. Rotates every other weekend due to 7 on/7 off rotation.
