The Diagnostic Technologist

•  Outpatient’s primary responsibilities include, the positioning of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankle in preparation for x-ray.
• Performs imaging procedures at a level not requiring direct supervision, operates X-ray equipment, processes images and documents into PACS.
• Provides basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse.
• Perform selected procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual.
• Patient care would include: obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, obtaining specimens including blood draws if qualified, preparing patients for clinician evaluation, and assisting clinician.
• See that the area is orderly and well stocked with supplies and equipment.
• Float to Main Radiology as needed. 

Must have:

1. Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT)
2. Current CPR Certification
3. California issued Fluoroscopy Permit
4. Current ARRT licensure
