Job Description
This is a brand new unit that is currently being built at the facility. Expectation is that it will be up and running and accepting patients by 3/8/26. Please ensure traveler is aware of this as with a brand new unit they will be expected to be flexible with anything that comes up during this process. **Will accept an ICU RN who may be interested in a step-down unit; it is a 1:3 patient ratio**
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years experience required
Traveler Experience: First time travelers NOT ACCEPTED
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: $15 rate decrease for travelers that live within 50 miles of facility
Epic experience required
Required Certs: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

? Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach
? Will assist in being Floated to ICU and ED for helping hands
? Patient Sitting
You will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or team
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Respiratory Failure
Diabetic Ketoacidosis
Sepsis
Post Surgical Care: neuro, cardo-thoracic surgery and general
Stable single organ trauma
Stroke
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Arterial/Central Line Management
Telemetry
Bipap/High Flow
Epicardial wires
Chest Tubes
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Lifts in every room
noninvasive fluid management system
air taps for certain patient criteria
telemetry monitoring
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Omnicell, EPIC, SBAR
UNIT ORIENTATION: 36hrs
SCRUBS: Any color
