Endoscopy Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment
Washington, DC 20010 Day Shift | 4×10 Hours | 13 Weeks
Position Overview
An experienced Endoscopy RN is needed for a 13‑week assignment covering Pre‑Op, Intra‑Procedural, and PACU phases of care. This role includes weekday and weekend call, floating within the GI suite, and caring for both pediatric and adult patients. First‑time travelers are accepted if they have strong, recent endoscopy experience across all phases.
Schedule & Shift Requirements
- Start Date: March 16, 2026
- Shift: 4×10‑hour days
- Pre‑Op: 06:30–17:00
- Intra‑Procedural: 07:00–17:30
- PACU: 07:30–18:00 or 08:00–18:30
- Call Requirements:
- Weekday: 17:30–07:00 once per week
- Weekend: Every 6th–7th weekend
- Friday 17:30–07:00
- Saturday 24‑hour call (07:00–07:00)
- Sunday 24‑hour call (07:00–07:00)
- Floating: Required within GI suite based on competency
- RTO: Must be submitted with profile
- Locals: Not accepted within 60 miles
- Flu vaccine: Required
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years Endoscopy RN experience
- Must be able to function in:
- Pre‑Op
- Intra‑Procedural
- PACU
- Must be skilled in:
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Pre/Post‑procedure care
- Inpatient endoscopy workflows
- Preferred:
- Outpatient endoscopy center experience
- Must be comfortable caring for pediatric and adult patients
- First‑time travelers accepted only if fully experienced in pre, intra, and post‑procedure endoscopy care
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ACLS
- BLS
- DC RN license
- Pending license accepted with proof at submission
- Must have DC license in hand prior to start
- Eligible for Aya Paid Open License Project
