Locals Accepted at Same Rate, HICU / BHU / LTC Vent Unit with Float to ICU Step Down, Brain Health and Burk 2 (LTC Vent Unit), 2+ Yrs. of Experience, First Time Travelers Accepted, BLS, ACLS, EOW. HICU: 40-Bed Unit Providing Close Monitoring and Frequent Interventions. Patients Require ICU Step-Down, Telemetry, and / or Med/Surg Level Care. Patients are Stable but Critically Ill and can Change Rapidly. Rooms are Semi-Private, Some Equipped with Telemetry. Unit Supports Acute Rehabilitation, Chronic Condition Management, and Ventilator Support. Handles Complex Medical Cases Including Post-Cardiac Arrest, Pneumonia, Sepsis, Acute Hypoxic Respiratory Failure, CVA Rehabilitation, And Other Respiratory, Cardiac, Renal, and GI / GU Conditions. Patients May Require Specialty Equipment Like G-Tubes, PICC Lines, Chest Tubes, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Tracheostomies, Mechanical Ventilation, Blood Transfusions, and Management of Non-Titratable Drips. BHU: 60 Beds Across Two Floors (MG-20 and M2-40). Patients Admitted with Medical and Neurological Diagnoses. Average Stay 20-25 Days. Patients Receive Medication Management, Rehabilitation Services, and Assistance With Group Activities and One-On-One Exercises. Burk 2 (Ventilator): 18-23 Beds Housing Patients with Chronic and Complex Respiratory Problems and Other Long-Term Care Needs. Many Require Ventilator Support. Staff Must Use Strong Organizational and Leadership Skills to Assess Status, Implement Clinical Interventions, and Develop Care Plans to Improve Outcomes. Special Training Required for Ventilator Care and Alarm Response.
