Description

Job Title: Interventional Radiology / Interventional Vascular RN

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Shift & Schedule

Shift: Days
Schedule: 4 × 9-hour shifts
Start Time: 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM
On Call: 6–9 call days, including every 4th weekend
Holidays: Rotational coverage required

Position Summary

The Interventional Radiology / Interventional Vascular Registered Nurse provides clinical support for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular and interventional procedures in a hospital-based IR lab. The role requires strong operating room experience, proficiency in interventional and endovascular procedures, and the ability to function independently in a high-acuity procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care during interventional radiology and vascular procedures
Assist physicians with endovascular and interventional cases
Prepare patients, procedure rooms, and equipment according to protocol
Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Participate in assigned on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays
Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience
Minimum 4 months of Interventional Vascular / IR lab experience in a hospital or medical center setting
Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license at time of submission
EPIC EMR experience – Required
Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Experience

Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience in a hospital or medical center setting
Proficiency in endovascular procedures
Previous travel assignment experience

Certifications (Required)

BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
