Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Days + Call Rotation)

Weekly Pay

Schedule

• 4 (four) x 10-hour shifts
• Most common shift times:
  • 7:00am – 5:30pm
  • 9:00am – 7:30pm
• Shifts assigned based on department needs
• No block scheduling permitted

Weekend & Call Requirements

• Work one 8-hour shift every 3rd weekend
• Take 16 hours of call every 3rd weekend
• Weekend work and call are based on rotating weekend team assignments
• Weekend call is primarily in the Main OR for orthopedic cases, with possible general surgery coverage
• Weekend call period runs from Friday 5:30pm through Monday 7:00am

Weekend & Call Shift Options

• 7:00am – 3:30pm
• 3:00pm – 11:30pm
• 11:00pm – 7:00am

Holiday Coverage

• Required to work an 8-hour shift and/or take call for one summer holiday and one winter holiday
• Holiday call hours follow the same shift structure listed above
• Holiday coverage is rotation based

Additional Call Expectations

• May be required to cover up to 8 hours of late call after scheduled shifts to finish cases
• Required to take one L1, one L2, and one L3 call per week
• Must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of receiving a call
