Overview

A traveler‑friendly critical access hospital in Julesburg, Colorado is seeking a skilled ER RN to join their night‑shift team. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in fast‑paced rural emergency settings and are confident caring for patients from birth through geriatric.

Facility & Unit Details

• 15‑bed critical access facility
• Patient population: birth to geriatric
• Nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 2:1
• EMR: Cerner
• Supportive, close‑knit clinical environment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Active Colorado RN license or Compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC
• Strong ER background with the ability to manage diverse acuity levels
• Comfortable working in a rural hospital with broad responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and manage emergency patients across all age groups
• Provide stabilization, interventions, and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications and assist with emergency procedures
• Collaborate with providers, EMS, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document accurately in Cerner
• Support efficient operations in a low‑staff, high‑autonomy environment
