Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU | PRN / Per Diem

We are seeking an experienced PRN ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. This position is ideal for a skilled RN looking for flexible scheduling while maintaining a high level of patient care.

Position Details

• Employment Type: PRN / Per Diem
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Hours: Up to 24 hours per week

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN will assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to float to other units as needed within scope.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and care teams
• Float to other units within scope (e.g., ED holds, Telemetry, Med/Surg) as needed
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Requirements

• Current and valid State RN license
• BLS required upon hire and must be maintained
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained
• NIHSS Certification required
• PALS required within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients
• BSN preferred
• RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred
• Ability to float to other units within scope of practice
