🚨 Assistant Nurse Manager - Adult Emergency Department - Augusta, GA 🚨

We are hiring a skilled Emergency Department RN to join a fast-paced clinical team.

📍 Location: Augusta, GA
⏱ Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
🌞🌙 Shifts Available: Day & Night shifts
💰 Pay Rate: $40-$78 /hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Nurse Manager – Adult Emergency Room is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and clinical excellence of the Adult ER department. This role ensures high-quality emergency care, efficient patient flow, staff engagement, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all nursing operations within the Adult Emergency Department
• Ensure delivery of safe, timely, and high-quality emergency care
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and acuity-based assignments
• Monitor and improve patient throughput, wait times, and LOS metrics
• Support and mentor charge nurses and ER nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, EMS, and interdisciplinary departments
• Respond to critical situations, traumas, and mass casualty events
• Manage performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based emergency care
• Oversee unit budget, supplies, and equipment readiness
• Address patient and family concerns promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BSN required (MSN preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Prior leadership or Nurse Manager experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS required
• PALS and TNCC preferred
• Strong decision-making skills in high-acuity situations
