***Travelers are first to float. RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital***

RTO Blackout Dates due to College World Series: 6/11/26 - 6/22/26

Stepdown Critical Care – SDCC is a 12-bed unit in the Critical Care Division that provides care to patients that need a level of care in between the intensive care units and the progressive care units. The Critical Care Intensivist and the nursing staff collaborate to provide extraordinary care to each of the patients and family members on the unit. Our priority is to ensure safety to all patients. Our patients include, but are not limited to, traumas, surgery, transplants, lung disorders and ventilated patients. Ratios are 1:3-4 on days/nights.

Certs REQ: Active AHA BLS, ACLS (CCRN, NIH strongly preferred)

2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)

Drips are required on all floors

EPIC charting experience required

First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)

Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.

In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some, but not all, floors.

100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY

Weekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in an 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night.

RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.

***Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2/3 major holidays - please submit this request with application

Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)

Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.

Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
