Description

8 hour day shift Monday-Friday; must be certified as a histotechnologist with ASCP or have equivalent certification. Under the direction of supervisors is directly responsible for the prompt, efficient and accurate performance of a variety of histological procedures on tissue specimens. 1) Responsible for the identification and processing of all tissue specimens received in anatomic pathology. a) Assigns an appropriate sequential accession number to each tissue specimen maintaining absolute certainty of patient identification at all times throughout processing and handling procedures.
