Description
Position Summary – Anesthesia Technician
- Role: Anesthesia Technician – Travel Contract
- Facility: St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, Boise, ID 83712-6241
- Status: Open – 1 position
- Start Date / Duration: February 16, 2026 – 13 weeks
- Shift: Day or evening, 8‑hour shifts, variable days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements & Certifications
- Experience: 2 years preferred; 1 year acceptable; first‑time travelers okay
- Required Certifications at submission: BLS, Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) via ASATT
- License to Submit: Not required
- BSN Required: No
- Orientation: 24 hours (3 shifts in department)
Job Duties & Scope
- Supports 38 rooms across: 17 Main OR, 4 CVOR, 3 CCL, 3 L&D, 2 Endo, EP lab, plus MRI, CT, US, X‑ray, and Nuclear Medicine areas
- Staffing ratio: 8 employees for 38 rooms
- Duties: Clean and check anesthesia machines, set up circuits, wipe down machines, manage inventory (machines, Omnicells, supply cabinets), restock, move equipment, multitask
- Does not start IVs; sets up for arterial lines and assists CRNAs
- Responds to codes: OB Stat, Anesthesia Stat, Trauma, Stroke Alerts
- Preferred experience: Pediatrics; GE and Mindray anesthesia machines
Scheduling, Call & Floating
- Shifts: ORs staffed 24/7; opportunity for overtime
- Weekends: Sundays as part of set schedule
- Holidays: Required unless approved RTO in advance
- Call: Offered but not required; 30‑minute response time
- Floating: Rare, within department; possible to Meridian and Nampa ORs
Environment & Logistics
- Anesthesia coverage: Anesthesiologists and CRNAs in house 24/7; pediatric trauma program
- Tech supervisor: Sean; new manager and director over surgical services
- Dress Code: Scrubs and locker provided; techs may wear their own caps and must bring OR shoes
- Culture: Very welcoming; seeks flexible travelers with a positive attitude; strong support system but techs are not yet fully utilized to full scope

- Certification must be active and submitted with the candidate profile.
- Position is part of an “auto‑offer” workflow through MED SOL interview.

Aaky J was very responsive, respectful and considerate, he responds quickly and he returns texts asap, I’ve even gotten random texts just asking how I was doing. I’ve never worked with Lancesoft before but Aaky has made it comfortable.
Cons
Maybe the only thing which truly isn’t a problem is the dialect, but we got through that as well.
