Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Travel Assignment
Salem, OR 97301 Day Shift | 4×10 Hours | Rotating Weekdays | 13 Weeks
Position Overview
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed for a 13‑week assignment performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong technical skills, flexibility with rotating weekday schedules, and participation in after‑hours call coverage.
Schedule & Shift Requirements
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- Shift: 4×10‑hour days
- Typical schedules include:
- 08:15–18:45 on Monday, Tuesday, Friday
- 07:00–17:30 on Thursday
- Facility may also schedule 06:30–17:00 or 08:15–18:45 depending on need
- Typical schedules include:
- Block Scheduling: Not permitted
- Call: Required
- After department closes until reopening
- Approx. 7 call shifts per month
- Call volume is generally low
- RTO: Must be submitted with profile
Position Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures following hospital policies and safety standards
- Operate gamma cameras, probes, computer systems, film processors, survey meters, and related equipment
- Ensure accurate imaging, documentation, and patient identification
- Maintain radiation safety practices and compliance
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff
- Provide high‑quality patient care and communication
- Participate in after‑hours call/standby rotation
Required Experience & Skills
- Preferred: 5 years Nuclear Medicine experience
- Must be proficient in:
- Nuclear medicine imaging procedures
- Operation of modern gamma cameras and nuclear medicine systems
- Radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Patient positioning and workflow efficiency
- Must be able to pass Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Pending OBMI Nuclear Medicine license accepted
- Must hold one of the following within 6 months of hire:
- NMTCB (CNMT)
- ARRT (N)
- BLS (AHA) within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Preferred Certifications
- ARRT (N)
- CNMT
Education Requirements
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field
