REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

• Must be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN; Acute Care exp within the last 2 years

• Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Start/maintaining IVs

• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Trach care/management

• Feeding tube care/management, Heparin Protocols, Pacemakers/Temp/Perm, Telemetry-on the unit monitoring

• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, MS/Tele, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains


UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: 1:5–6

• Unit Details: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long term patients

• Floating: Will be required to float within skillset

• Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
