Requirements

Experience

• 5 years required (preferred)
• 3 years considered (screened)
• First-time travelers accepted

Specialty Experience – HARD STOP (Required)

• Cardiac
• Vascular
• Endovascular
• Thoracic

Certifications – Required

• CSFA
• NBSTSA or NCCSA
• BLS by AHA

Privileging Requirements

• Privileging process required prior to start
• Timeline: Approximately 120 days (about 3 months) from time of signature
• Start date contingent upon completion of privileging
• For partner agency placements: $125 Pre-Application Fee per candidate

Clinical Screening

• Candidates reviewed by clinical team to determine clinical fit
• If clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, profile is forwarded to manager for final decision
• Clinical screens sent on a case-by-case basis

Schedule & Work Expectations

• Shift: Days
• Weekend Requirement: Only required during call
• Call: 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks (subject to departmental needs)
• Floating: Required within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed

Time-Off & Compliance

• RTO: Maximum 7 days
• Holiday RTO: Not accepted
• Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time
  • Non-compliance results in a 2-week start date pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

Additional Notes

• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours determined by contract length
  • Example: 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment
