Float: May float to sister locations within 65 miles
Overview
A rural EMS department in Ontonagon, MI is seeking an experienced Travel Paramedic for a 13‑week assignment. This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable paramedic with strong critical‑care transport experience who can operate independently across varying shift needs. Requirements
- Active Michigan Paramedic License
- Valid Driver’s License
- CEVO or EVOC certification
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of Paramedic experience (independent of EMT experience); 3 years preferred
- Must have critical care inter‑facility transport experience
Education: High school graduate + completion of an accredited Paramedic program
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality pre‑hospital emergency care and inter‑facility critical‑care transport
- Perform advanced assessments, airway management, medication administration, and life‑saving interventions
- Operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with CEVO/EVOC standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospital staff, and EMS leadership
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment readiness
Adapt to varying shift needs and float to nearby sister locations as required
