Position Overview:
- Manage a caseload of 7th and 8th-grade students, ensuring all Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals are tracked, progress reports are completed, and annual meetings are facilitated with accuracy.
- Lead co-taught ELA classes and provide "push-in" inclusion support to ensure students with mild to moderate disabilities can access the general education curriculum.
- Design and deliver specialized intervention classes tailored to bridge achievement gaps and meet the specific learning needs of middle school students.
- Partner with general education teachers to modify assignments, implement accommodations, and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
- Active Massachusetts licensure in Special Education: Teacher of Students with Mild/Moderate Disabilities (K-8 or 5-12)
- Proven expertise or dual certification in English Language Arts (ELA) is highly desirable
